The Monotype Guild of New England
invites members in good standing
to submit one monotype or monoprint
for an exhibition at Zullo Gallery.
This exhibit is NOT JURIED.
Every entering member artist will
have one print hung.
There will be
a total of 60 prints in the show.


 

ZULLO GALLERY is a nonprofit, volunteer-run organization originally created by the Medfield Council on the Arts to support and promote the arts through the exhibition of a wide range of fine artwork. It is a place for art exhibition, art education and live music performances. The gallery presents 5 – 6 exhibitions a year featuring a wide variety of emerging and established artists from New England. Over the past 25 years, the gallery has presented more than 120 art exhibitions. Shows have featured members of the New England Watercolor Society, the Copley Society of Boston, the Boston Printmakers, the Monotype Guild of New England as well as individuals from the Fort Point Arts Community in South Boston and Brickbottom Artists Cooperative in Somerville. Zullo Gallery is open Saturday and Sunday from 12 noon – 5pm.

 


ELIGIBILITY:
Your Monotype Guild membership must be up-to-date to participate. All prints must be either monotypes or monoprints. For detailed descriptions of those terms, please follow this link to our website: http://mgne.org/monotypedefined/  
Submitted work cannot have been shown at an earlier MGNE exhibit. There will be a $25 fee for one piece. MGNE is open to artists working in the medium of one-of-a-kind prints. To join MGNE, follow this link: https://mgne.org/membership/
 
REQUIREMENTS:  
Work should be framed and ready to hang with a wire. Clip-on frames, saw-tooth and keyhole hangers will NOT be accepted. There is a size limit of 36" x 36" framed. The gallery cannot accommodate sculptures or other three-dimensional installations. The gallery director reserves the right to refuse installation of any work that is not appropriate for a professional exhibition at Zullo Gallery or does not meet the stated guidelines.
 
ENTRY PROCESS:
Easy on-line registration is through ArtCall at this address: https://mgnezullogallery.artcall.org/
We will begin accepting entries on May 1, 2022, and will close submissions upon receiving 60 entries. Your email from ArtCall that your submission has gone through is an indication that your work is in the show and is expected at drop-off. ArtCall enables changes to your submissions until we close. Only JPEG files will be accepted. JPEGs should be sized between a minimum of 960 to a maximum of 1920 pixels on the longest side.
 
INSURANCE:            
MGNE volunteers and Zullo Gallery staff will handle your work with the care and respect that they accord their own work. Zullo Gallery does not have insurance. 
 
SALES:   
Zullo Gallery will encourage sales and will take a commission of 35% on sold work. If your work is not for sale, enter zero in ArtCall. Payment for sales will be sent at the end of the exhibit.
 
DELIVERY:  
Drop-off dates are: Saturday, June 18, 10am – 1pm and Monday, June 20, 10am – 1pm
Pick-up dates are: Sunday, August 28, 10am – 1pm and Monday, August 29, 10am – 1pm

Please label all artwork with your name and title of the piece. You must attach the check-in label that you will print during the ArtCall submission.
